A cornerstone verbal response you should have easily on the tip of your tongue is frequently
referred to as an "elevator speech". It is a short capsule of what you do, delivered in a brief and
impactful way. It's a short introduction and description that can be delivered in the time it takes to
ride an elevator (somewhere from 10-20-30-45 seconds, depending on who you ask, and of
course, what floor you're going to!) It should be in simple, clear language, yet intriguing
enough to generate a listener's curiosity.
